The garner of silver award in "Barrier-free Facilities Caring Award" shows the care of Hopewell Centre for the need of the community by continuously improving the property’s barrier-free facilities. The "Barrier-free Facilities Caring Award" Scheme is funded by the Hong Kong Rehabilitation Power and Hong Kong Equal Opportunities Commission with the aim to enhance public awareness in the integration of the disabled to the society. The judging panel is formed by a group of hearing and visually impaired as well as physically disabled, who travelled around different Hong Kong shopping malls to conduct a Barrier-free test and made their winner selection. In the future, Hopewell Centre shall continue offering "Barrier-free" facilities to include more disabled people in the community and strive for a cohesive society.
