Hopewell Received Certificate of Appreciation in the 5th Friends of EcoPark

Hopewell Holdings Limited (“Hopewell”), Hopewell Centre Management Limited and GARDENEast Management Limited have been awarded Certificate of Appreciation in the 5th Friends of EcoPark from the Environmental Protection Department (EPD) in recognition of our support for EcoPark tenants and to encourage further mutual collaboration.
 
The Friends of EcoPark scheme is launched by EPD in 2010. It aims to encourage partnership development between the private and public sectors and EcoPark tenants in providing the tenants with improved access to waste source supplies, enhanced collection of recyclables, and greater use of recycled products produced by the EcoPark tenants.

Hopewell Continued to Join WWF-Hong Kong Corporate Membership Programme “Silver Member”

Hopewell Holdings Limited (“Hopewell”) is committed to fulfilling its corporate social responsibility initiatives on environment protection and corporate sustainability. In order to support the conservation works conducted by WWF, Hopewell joined WWF-Hong Kong Corporate Membership Programme for the fourth consecutive year as Silver Member.

Hopewell Signed “Energy Saving Charter”

To step up efforts in energy conservation, Hopewell Holdings Limited (“Hopewell”) is committed to support the “Energy Saving Charter” which is jointly organized by the Environment Bureau and the Electrical and Mechanical Services Department. Under this scheme, Hopewell Centre, Wu Chung House and E-Max pledged to maintain an average indoor temperature between 24 and 26 degrees Celsius from June to September 2015.
 
The Energy Saving Charter on Indoor Temperature has been well received by many shopping malls, shops, office premises and offices since its launch in 2012. This year, the Government is extending the charter scheme to non-governmental organizations (NGOs).

Hopewell Centre and Wu Chung House were Awarded Awards in Yan Oi Tong Plastic Recycling Partnership Scheme 2014-2015

Hopewell Centre and Wu Chung House of Hopewell Holdings Limited (“Hopewell”) supported Yan Oi Tong Plastic Recycling Partnership Scheme organized by Yan Oi Tong EcoPark Plastic Resources Recycling Centre again. From June, 2014 to February, 2015, Hopewell Centre and Wu Chung House collected 2,400 kg and 1,100 kg of plastic waste respectively and received Silver and Bronze awards in Housing Estate and C&I Building category as recognition of their continuous efforts on plastic waste recovery and recycling.
 
Over 880 public and private enterprises supported Yan Oi Tong Plastic Recycling Partnership Scheme. The scheme encourages the public to participate plastic waste recycling and learn the importance of “clean recycling”.

Six Subsidiaries of Hopewell Received Wastewi$e Label in the Hong Kong Awards for Environmental Excellence

Hopewell Centre, GARDENEast, Panda Hotel, Panda Place, Villa Lotto and Broadwood Twelve have been awarded “Wastewi$e Label” of the Hong Kong Awards for Environmental Excellence. Among these, GARDENEast, Panda Place and Villa Lotto have granted with “Class of Excellence” Wastewi$e Label. Hopewell Centre, Panda Hotel and Broadwood Twelve have also received “Class of Good” Wastewi$e Label in recognition of their commitment to environmental protection by adopting measures to reduce the amount of waste.
 
The Wastewi$e Label is jointly organized by the Environmental Campaign Committee, Environmental Protection Department and nine organizations. It aims to encourage Hong Kong businesses / organizations in adopting green management and green innovations, as well as to reduce the amount of waste generated within their establishments or generated through the services and products they provide, and to recognize the waste reduction efforts of those companies.
