Hong Kong Red Cross “Humanity City Challenge” Kick-off Ceremony cum Fun Day | | 19 Sep 2021
The Hong Kong Red Cross first Humanity City Challenge 2021 Kick-off Ceremony cum Fun Day was held on 19 September 2021 in the Hong Kong Red Cross headquarters. Hopewell Holdings Limited (“Hopewell”) supported and sponsored the competition to support the humanitarian work of the Hong Kong Red Cross. Meanwhile, Hopewell sent two corporate teams and a family team to participate the competition. By accomplishing various online and offline missions, the participants can rove around the community and live up to the spirit of humanity.
Through the “online challenges” and “bonus tasks” set in the area of competition, the participants can get a sense of humanitarian work. The participants need to search for designated “check-in points” in Kowloon West and complete the missions to get points. The Open Group, Corporate Group, and Student Group have to finish the competition in 180 minutes, and the time limit for the Family Group is 90 minutes. All participants who complete the competition will receive an electronic completion certificate. |
Hopewell Continues to Support Green Low Carbon Day | | 11 Jul 2021
Hopewell Holdings Limited (“Hopewell”) supported Green Low Carbon Day 2021 ogranised by The Community Chest of Hong Kong, promoting public awareness and understanding of the concept of sustainable development while helping those in need. Participants are encouraged to take a greener transport and adopt a green lifestyle. Donations raised through Green Low Carbon Day is designated to support “Green Related Projects” provided by member agencies of the Chest. In addition to the company’s donation, Hopewell also matched the staff donations dollar-for-dollar. |
Hopewell Shared Festive Joy with Singleton Elderly at Tuen Ng Festival | | 14 May 2021
Hopewell Holdings Limited (“Hopewell”) and St. James’ Settlement co-organized the Tuen Ng Volunteer Programme for the eleventh consecutive year, serving over 10,000 singleton elderly since its launch.
This year, HH Social Club volunteers gathered at Hopewell Centre and prepared 100 HH Social Club protective packs. Hopewell donated 1,200 HH Social Club protective packs to the elderly comprising rice dumplings from Panda Hotel, personal hygienic products, daily necessities and emergency card, spreading festive joy to the elderly during the Tuen Ng Festival.
Over 30 HH Social Club volunteers, their families and friends made calls to around 120 elderly in June, taking care of their mental health and living conditions. The volunteers also shared the health tips and raised their awareness on personal hygiene.
Apart from the elderly calls, we also arranged the first virtual visit to extend blessings and warmth to 89-year-old couple in the elderly home. |

This year, Hopewell Holdings Limited (“Hopewell”) was one of the Hong Kong Red Cross 70th Anniversary Honorary Sponsors, celebrating the 70th anniversary with the theme of “Build.Humanity.Together” and supporting their humanitarian work.

Hopewell Junior Volunteers Programme Organized virtual Farming Tour for Primary Students | | 24 Apr 2021
Hopewell Holdings Limited (“Hopewell”) collaborated with St. James’ Settlement for the fifth consecutive year in co-organizing “Hopewell Junior Volunteers Programme” 2020/21. The Program provides diverse learning opportunities for underprivileged students during the epidemic.
Apart from the virtual STEM workshop, over 60 primary students and 11 volunteers participated the virtual farming tour in March and April. Through the virtual visit in HKFYG Organic Farm and New Life Interactive Farm, the participants learnt the knowledge of organic farming and environmental protection, strengthening their understanding of ecosystem.
We also provided the learning kits to the students to experience the fun of STEM and ecosystem, inspire their creativity and thinking, and promote whole-person development. |
