Hopewell Supported COVID-19 Support Hotline by Hong Kong Red Cross

07 Apr 2022

During the 5th wave pandemic, the number of confirmed cases continues to climb daily, even in the elderly care homes. To provide essential support to vulnerable groups, the Hong Kong Red Cross set up the "COVID-19 Support Hotline" and "COVID-19 Information Platform" in February, providing the latest COVID-19 measures and health information, as well as HKRC and other social services information. They also provided psychological support services, food parcels, COVID-19 prevention kits, rapid antigen test kits, etc. according to needs, especially for the vulnerable.

Hopewell Holdings Limited ("Hopewell") supported COVID-19 Support Hotline of Hong Kong Red Cross by sponsoring the Hopewell Centre as a venue for the volunteers to pack and distribute protective equipment and other supplies to elderly care homes. In addition, to express their sincere gratitude for the volunteers' selfless dedication, Hopewell had specially sent 150 gift packs to Hong Kong Red Cross volunteers. The gift packs contained “Lung Clearing Tea”, vacuum bottles, oranges, and macarons made by the Panda Hotel Hotel, sending encouragement and blessings to them.

Since the launch of the "COVID-19 Support Hotline", The Hotline had received over 13,000 calls, with our wish is to tide over everyone in the city amidst difficulties.
