Hopewell Holdings Limited (“Hopewell”) is committed to corporate social responsibility and support on various sustainable projects. This year, Hopewell received “Bronze Award (Volunteer Category)” and “Corporate Citizenship Logo (Enterprise Category)” at the award ceremony of “The 5th Hong Kong Corporate Citizenship Program” in recognition of our continued efforts on sustainability.
“Hong Kong Corporate Citizenship Program” is co-organised by Hong Kong Productivity Council (HKPC) and the Committee on the Promotion of Civic Education (CPCE). The Program aims to raise public awareness towards corporate citizenship by organizing a series of activities, encourage corporate to fulfill social responsibilities and integrate citizenship concept into business model and operation, and ultimately promote sustainability of economy, society and environment. |
Hopewell Supported The Community Chest Green Day for the Fourth Consecutive Year | | 16 Nov 2014
Hopewell Holdings Limited (“Hopewell”) supported The Community Chest Green Day for the fourth consecutive year organized by The Community Chest of Hong Kong and received an overwhelming response from colleagues. The programme aims to spread the message of “Act green and live green” and encourage public to take a greener form of transport, reduce food waste, save energy and water, support food waste recycling, resources recycling and redistributing programmes, waste reduction, separation and recovery, etc. All donations received is allocated to support "Medical and Health Services" provided by the Chest's member agencies. |
Hopewell Participated Heifer Race to Feed 2014 | | 02 Nov 2014
Hopewell Holdings Limited (“Hopewell”) formed a 6-member Hopewell Social Club team to participate Heifer Race to Feed 2014. This charity run co-organized by Heifer Hong Kong and Hong Kong Distance Runners Club was held at the Plover Cove Reservoir in Tai Mei Tuk on 2 November 2014.
Hopewell team won Corporate/Organization “5K Group Run” Second Runner-up out of 17 teams.
"Race to Feed" is Heifer Hong Kong's annual fundraising event. Donation raised will be allocated to support the poverty alleviation project in Anhui, China. |
Hopewell Continued to Support Dress Special Day | | 30 Sep 2014
Hopewell Holdings Limited (“Hopewell”) continued to support Dress Special Day organized by the Community Chest. By making a donation of HK$60 or more, staff can go to work in casual wear to show care to the needy. This year, totally 208 staff from 20 business units / departments participated in this campaign.
The Community Chest first introduced Dress Casual Day to Hong Kong in 1993. The number of participants is increasing every year. In response to the needs of society, all donations raised through Dress Casual Day this year will be allocated to benefit the 157 member social welfare agencies supported by The Community Chest. |
Hopewell Sponsored HKOSA Project Resonance for the Fourth Consecutive Year | | 28 Jul 2014
Hopewell Holdings Limited (“Hopewell”) sponsored Project Resonance of Hong Kong Outstanding Students’ Association (HKOSA) for the fourth consecutive year. The programme aims to arouse students’ interest towards cultural diversity in Hong Kong. This year, eight local subcultures have been chosen, including Walled villages, Fishing villages, Old Hong Kong in 1980s, The Philippines, Indian culture, Indonesian culture, Thai culture and Pakistanis culture. A series of activities were organized to enhance students’ awareness and understanding on local subcultures. KITEC became the venue sponsor of the Carnival Showcase held on Monday, 28 July 2014.
Hong Kong Outstanding Students’ Association was founded in 1987 by the awardees and finalists of the prestigious Hong Kong Outstanding Students Award, which is currently held by the Youth Arch Foundation. With over 900 members, the Association is one of the largest and oldest student-run, non-profit organizations in Hong Kong. |
