Hopewell Organized “Hopewell Junior Volunteers Programme – Table Manner Workshop and Graduation Ceremony”

Hopewell Holdings Limited (“Hopewell”) continued to support the Grant-in-aid Brightens Children’s Lives Service of St. James’ Settlement and co-organized “Hopewell Junior Volunteers Programme - Table Manner Workshop and Graduation Ceremony”. Around 50 students and volunteers participated in that activity which was co-organized by Hopewell and its subsidiary, Panda Hotel, as the venue sponsor. Participants attended Table Manner Workshop conducted by Hopewell’s hospitality trainees to learn basic table manners and enjoyed western set lunch at the hotel. An interactive game was also held to introduce table manners in different countries.
 
After the workshop, we arranged a graduation ceremony and card exchanging section. At the graduation ceremony, representatives from Hopewell and St. James’ Settlement presented certificates and wooden name badges to the graduates who were awarded for their participation in a series of extracurricular activities.

HH Social Club Volunteers Participated in St. James’ Settlement Territory-wide Flag Day

16 HH Social Club Volunteers, their families and friends from Hopewell Holdings Limited (“Hopewell”) participated in St. James’ Settlement Territory-wide Flag Day. All proceeds will be used for meeting different needs of the society through diversified services of St. James’ Settlement, providing high quality services to meet the needs of children and youth, the underprivileged, the community, people with disabilities and the elders, etc. Every volunteer received certificate of appreciation from St. James’ Settlement.

Hopewell Received “Outstanding Walk Team Award” by the 2016/2017 Walks for Million

Hopewell Holdings Limited (“Hopewell”) and Hopewell Highway Infrastructure Limited were awarded “Outstanding Walk Team Award” and Certificate of Appreciation of the Hong Kong and Kowloon Walk respectively at the 2016/2017 Walks for Millions Cheque and Award Presentation Ceremony to acknowledge the participation of 111 employees, their friends and relatives. The donation will support the services of 24 social welfare agencies in providing "Family and Child Welfare Services".

Hopewell and St. James’ Settlement Called for Hundred Volunteers to Share Tuen Ng Festival Joy with Singleton Elderly

Hopewell Holdings Limited (“Hopewell”) collaborate with St. James’ Settlement (“SJS”) for the seventh consecutive year in co-organizing the Tuen Ng Volunteer Visit to Elderly on Saturday, 27 May 2017 to extend warm regards and festival greetings to 1,000 singleton elderly. In compared to last year’s programme, there is a 25% increase in the total number of beneficiaries.
 
The event theme of this year is to encourage elderly to stay active and healthy by doing regular physical exercises that specifically designed for them. To match the theme, our gift sets for the elderly have included sports water bottles, towels, shower gel and rice dumplings made by Kowloon Panda Hotel Limited, a subsidiary of Hopewell.
 
On the event day, about 100 HH Social Club volunteers, their families and friends brought along the gift sets to visit around 100 households of singleton elderly residing in various districts of Hong Kong (Wan Chai, Causeway Bay, Kwun Tong, Tsuen Wan and Tsing Yi). After preparing the gift sets, volunteers also attended the briefing conducted by representative from SJS to learn the essential skills to communicate with the singleton elderly and identify their needs, and a series of simple physical exercise for demonstrating to the elderly during home visit.

HH Social Club Volunteers Baked the Cake Together with Underprivileged Children

Hopewell Holdings Limited (“Hopewell”) organized some interest classes with voluntary elements. The Group partnered with The Boys' & Girls' Clubs Association of Hong Kong to arrange a cake baking workshop, providing a chance for the staff to enjoy the fun of cooking and sharing the joy with underprivileged children.
 
HH Social Club volunteers and the children were divided into groups and made the fruit cakes together. A luncheon was organized to share the happiness.
