Hopewell Continued to Support Skip Lunch Day

Hopewell Holdings Limited (“Hopewell”) continued to support “Skip Lunch Day” organized by the Community Chest of Hong Kong to encourage the employees to donate their lunch fees to help the “Services for Street Sleepers, Residents in Cage Homes and Cubicles” supported by the Community Chest of Hong Kong. By making a donation of HK$35 or more, each donor will receive a Skip Lunch Day Coupon as a token of appreciation.
 

Hopewell Supported Walk for Millions for the Twelfth Consecutive Year

Hopewell Holdings Limited ("Hopewell") participated “Hong Kong and Kowloon Walk for Millions” organized by the Community Chest of Hong Kong for the twelfth consecutive year. More than 70 employees and their families started from Hong Kong Stadium to finish the 10-km Walkathon at Aberdeen Country Park. Each participant received a certificate of appreciation. Panda Hotel also prepared a lunch for our participating staff at the finish point.
 
The funds raised from the Walk programme will be designated to maintain and strengthen family bonding and to assist the family members in establishing mutual support relationship without deduction of administrative costs.
 
In addition to the company’s donation, Hopewell also matched the staff donations dollar-for-dollar.

Hopewell Junior Volunteers Programme 2019 Introduced STEM Elements to Unleash Secondary Students’ Potential in Innovation and Technology

Hopewell Holdings Limited ("Hopewell") co-organized "Hopewell Junior Volunteers Programme" with St. James' Settlement for the fourth consecutive year.A STEM course was launched in the partner secondary schools. According to the theme of smart living or classic games, students were divided into groups to design their models with Arduino, micro:bit, use of coding languages and environmentally-friendly materials. Students had the chance to develop project planning and experiment with science and technology. A sharing day was held on 9 July at HKSYC & IA Chan Nam Chong Memorial College. 50 students from two different schools presented the design of their work, demonstrating their talents and STEM knowledge. They also interacted with other participants to inspire their innovative ideas and make modification on their products.
 

Hopewell and Ten Subsidiaries Awarded in the Caring Company Logo

Hopewell Holdings Limited (“Hopewell”) and ten of its subsidiaries have been awarded the Caring Company Logo 2019/2020 by the Hong Kong Council of Social Service in recognition of our continuous commitment to the community, the employees and the environment.
 
This year, Panda Hotel have received the honours for more than fifteen consecutive years.

Hopewell Holdings Limited Spread Love to More than 1,000 Elderly at Tuen Ng Festival

Hopewell Holdings Limited (“Hopewell”) joined hands with St. James’ Settlement (“SJS”) to co-organize the Tuen Ng Volunteer Programme for the ninth consecutive year, benefitting over 8,000 singleton elderly since its launch, spreading festive cheer to the elderly during the Tuen Ng Festival.
 
On 1 June, nearly 40 HH Social Club volunteers, their families and friends participated in the Tuen Ng Volunteer Visit. They gathered at the headquarters of SJS in the morning to prepare gift packs including rice dumplings and daily necessities. They were also trained with essential skills to communicate with the singleton elderly. During home visits, the volunteers shared contact information of SJS and presented the gift packs to around 60 households of singleton elderly living in various districts of Hong Kong (Wan Chai, Causeway Bay, Kwun Tong, Kwai Chung and Tsuen Wan).
